They control all media. That gives them the opportunity to control the narrative and keep people emotionally charged with outrageous disingenuous news cycle after outrageous disingenuous news cycle without a breather.
These people don't even have time or the desire to research things for themselves and discover that it's all bullshite, before they're led straight to the next watering hole like the good little sheep they are.
Conservative America has increased their influence on socials and the Legacy Media networks are floundering, so the effects are lessened of late... but nonetheless it's still what is happening.
If you're younger and Conservative, just hold the line. When the boomer generation is gone, there won't be anyone left to trust the MSM Narrative Control Apparatus. But you'll all still have to contend with social media, which is even worse.

Normalcy bias too. One could, in the past , watch or read the news and feel fairly confident most of it was true. They still feel that way even as the communists are brainwashing them.

Yeah but I could stomach what “Liberal” was back then. It’s taken on a whole new level of insanity lately and it all started really coming to light in 2016 during the presidential race. Now there’s no doubt Obama the Messiah planted some seeds very quietly and tactfully during his term.

Obama made it okay to blame whites for tbe problems in America. Even the liberal white males backed Obama, thinking this was a civil rights type moment. But in reality it was dividing Americans against each other. So he could gain power. He carefully crafted his pitch, to make it seem that if you stood against his agenda— you were a racist. And he did a great job of energizing his base into pouring out their anger against conservatives.
(Many conservatives were afraid to stand up to “liberals”)
However, we now see the results of his base’s hate against Trump and Charlie Kirk.
He pushed it too far with gender affirming care and trying to convince others that criminals were the victims. It became obvious that he had an alternate agenda opposed to liberalism. Yes, socialism.
