The schools here are all locked down. Can't get in without someone in the office unlocking the doors while school is in session.

In every school I have ever worked at you can't get in without showing ID and walking through a metal detector.

There was a video posted from a heavy.com article. He literally just walked right in. Didn't even need to turn a doorknob or open a door.

Terrorist is an inaccurate description of this POS. Nothing indicates that he was attempting to attain a political goal or change policy. I think he was just a run-of-the-mill tranny nutter.

He just walked in carrying the rifle. They have been showing a video of it all night.

You and I have a different definition of "terrorist". My definition is not nearly as exclusive as yours.

I can park right by my kids front doors, and walk in, only 1 door is unlocked and it goes to the office. The back entrance of the school is locked, only allowing exit, as well as the wing doors.

This is the same for all 3 schools. As well as a cop on campus, my daughters PE teacher is a reserve police officer, and most of the teachers have the CCL, most instructors give free classes to teachers - that I know.

2 of the 3 principals are veterans too.

HOWEVER, this doesn’t mean stupid shite doesn’t happen. I can name many faults of the above with concerns I have.

It would be extraordinarily unlikely for someone to get in and kill nearly 20 people at a school with the security arrangements you mentioned. Not saying they couldn't get in and cause damage, but they couldn't cause overwhelmingly devastating damage like what happened today.

There’s still many flaws and threats I didn’t list. I do feel very comfortable that nothing would happen, but there are parents who just lost their children thinking the same.

Lol he must. I actually think it’s funny our teachers wear ids in our district. To me it’s more of a power thing like a badge.

He was probably dead before the first child was murdered. Never underestimate the lengths the deep state and our corrupt alphabet agencies will go to in order to further their agenda.

I sat in front and then the next day in the back parking lots of my kids' middle school, and video recorded teachers, and volunteer parents circumventing the security screening through the front door and rear entrances which are staffed with security personnel. Did I share it with the principal? No.

I took it directly to my neighbor, who was a member of the school board and who then took me to meet with the school district superintendent. He was aghast. These were serious breaches of school security and they were doing it to save time with students and other parents and teachers opening doors for them.

The very next day, an email blast went out to all parents about the breach, from the school superintendent, not the principal, who probably was lucky to retain his job. After that, security tightened up and those doors only opened at the end of the day afterwards.

That is exactly what needs to happen at every school. One point of entry, staffed by someone actually verifying who is coming in and why. Honestly should be an LEO, we waste vastly more money in education and in government than what what it would cost to put one FT officer in every school.

It’s easy to get lax, people are “just being polite” holding the door for the person walking in behind them, etc but a secure point of entry is key to preventing scenes like today. Could someone bent on causing destruction get through by overpowering the officer or shooting through locks/windows? Yes, always a possibility but that would at least cause a scene to alert others and buy them some time. This guy appeared to waltz right in and apparently started picking off little kids.

From the short video shown, it looks like he may have attacked a portable (essentially an overflow double wide) classroom
