Ok, google earth gives you a pretty good look at the building. There are dumpsters at the rear corner of the building he could have both used to conceal himself and make it short climb to get on top from.
615 Whitestown road is the address to use.
Unless they blocked off the subdivision next to it, could have driven to within a few yards of the building, so probably easy to drive in if he chose or someone could have dropped him off.

Someone posted an overhead view of the site and there is a fricking WATER TOWER next to the building. Why wasn't anyone stationed up there with a bird's eye view of everything?
