It’s very odd and sad that some of you seem to think that the country is in bad shape. The only explanation is that your side isn’t in power.

Troll. We’ve been in a tailspin for two decades regardless of leadership.

There seems to be a disconnect among which parts of society are benefitting from this thriving economy.

What good is the second amendment if you refuse to use it to hold a corrupt & tyrannical government accountable which was one of the original intents of the amendment to begin with?
We apparently need a lot of help with the First Amendment too.

quote:

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

We tried this in good faith on 6 January and it’s been deemed an insurrection.

Absolutely no thanks.

I can't think of a worse idea, honestly. No Convention would ever stay within the bounds of its enabling mandate or legislation. No such convention in history ever has, including the one that gave us our current Constitution. It would ultimately result in a re-writing of the entire constitutional framework. I for one do not trust this generation(s) of politicians with that power. They are not worthy or capable of it.

The way I see it, the runaway Federal Agencies are doing all those things anyway, the Courts are helping them, and Congress sits back and allows it. At least the Amendments proposed by a Convention of States have to ratified by the State Legislatures. If we keep sitting around, that path will be shut down too.
