Dude I understand this shut down is a little bit of a pain, but even if you were broke the options available to fed Employees is pretty crazy, free food to no interest loans. Hell even free date night drinks.

Nope. But I have had a few acquaintances over the years who were in various law enforcement positions and all of them admitted to essentially being corrupt when needed. They bragged about it.

I retired on 12/15 and I would have been one of those who were caught up in this but required to still work as an essential worker. It would have sucked for sure but, I would have gone to work and do my job every day. My peers are doing it without missing a beat.

My parents own there own business, I watched them go through it. I do understand, I worked up there. 7 days a week, all day long. I know I would last.

They probably weren't making 60k base pay, of they were, then maybe they were living above what they should have. I ha e a wife and 3 kids to take care of. I also have 22 years until retirement, guess what, I can retire at 46 years old. Then I can go work in the private sector and make you proud Jake! Until then get the frick off my lawn.

I think the issue is this shutdown has shown many Americans how bloated, wasteful, and useless our Government actually is. I have not had one single inconvenience.
