You do know that 18 GOP members of Congress represent districts that Biden carried in 2020, right? You do know that 11 are from California and New York, don't you?

You actually think they'll get reelected by voting for Trump for speaker. Congrats...that's the most retarded thing I've seen posted all day.

I've said this for two weeks. These people on here have absolutely no idea how the real world works.

In their world, every district and every voter loves Trump, and if they don't, it's because they are corrupt or cheaters.

I fricking love it. I love chaos. I hope the GOP can literally NEVER pick a speaker. This is just what the party needs to hasten their complete and ultimate destruction.

, but if they stand against trump, they can no longer even claim to be republicans and america wont vote for them.

Congressmen aren't elected nation-wide, dumbass, so it doesn't matter to most of them what your populist idea of "Merica" thinks.

I am obviously ignorant to this process, but how can they vote to remove a nominee? Can't any member nominate any person for speaker and the members then vote for whomever they want - whether that person was nominated or not?

Jordan got 194 votes last round; there's nothing from stopping them for voting for him again, correct?

I think they realized Gym Jordan was an ASSISTANT wrestling coach that turned a blind eye to sexual assault of his wrestlers. You gotta get off the crazy train at some point.

I agree; the article was worded poorly.

Based on various digital sources … it seems Jordan dropped out of the race after losing a vote of confidence during the closed-door GOP meeting.

You don’t seem to understand they don’t care about their districts. They only care about enriching themselves. Their constituents don’t care who they vote for speaker. If anything, their constituents probably support Jordan.

voted via secret ballot

There should be no "secret ballots".

These people are our fricking employees and we deserve to know goddamn good and well exactly how they vote on everything.

This is such bullshite, and is exactly why the Republic is collapsing.

I don't get to hide shite from my employer. Yet these asshats get to decide what we see and don't see pertaining to their job performance (or lack thereof) and duties.

The list of reasons is far longer than this.
But I don’t disagree with you.
