I think they call this saying the quiet part out loud?

But you have been beating the drum that abortion is in your words “a losing issue” or is “a debate that’s been lost.”

Yes

There’s a difference between what I quoted at the top and the all or nothing statements you’ve posted since last Tuesday.

The only people making all or nothing statements are the posters saying they won't budge on their extremist stances on abortion.

I have been posting for a year+ on this board bout moderation, generally, and decreasing this stupid polarity people are allowing themselves to be manipulated into.

That Obama won twice. DeSantis barely won just 4 years ago. Of all the bullshite you peddle this is the easiest to dispense with.

Calculate all the Presidential, Gubernatorial, and Senate races since 2000 and tell me what the score is, DEM v. GOP

I have 0 doubt you think this is also a legitimate answer.

Are you ready to explain how Marco Rubio win by a MUCH larger margin than he did 6 years ago, running against a MUCH better opponent, shortly after co-sponsoring National abortion ban legislation, when republicans would vote for democrats when it came to protecting abortion on a national level, according to you?

Are you ready to explain how greg abbott won by the same margin he did 4 years ago, against a MUCH more well known and MUCH better funded candidate, after multiple hundreds of thousands of democrat voters moved to texas since the last election, and after he signed an anti-abortion bill?

Are you ready to talk about why the voters of kentucky comfortably reject an abortion ban and re-elected Rand Paul, a republican that is “100% pro-life, believes life begins at conception, and will always support legislation that would end abortion” by a 23 point margin over Charles booker, a democrat that has promised to be the vote that codified abortion if he was elected, after only electing Paul by a 15 point margin 6 years ago?

Are you ready to talk about that purple state re-electing Brian Kemp by 7.5 points in 2022 after only 1.5 points in 2018 against the exact same candidate, after Kemp signed an "extreme" abortion ban bill just a few months before the 2022 election, and how that coincides with walker being punished for his pro-life stance?

Are you ready to talk about the record voter turnout in georgia after their "anit-dem" voting laws were passed?

Are you ready to talk about how conservative states were able to understand and express the the need to keep abortion available without also voting for record inflation, out of control crime, lockdowns and mandates, etc. while blue state voters either are not capable of that or actually support those things?

Or are you still too stupid and afraid to talk about those things?

Correct, nor was Trump’s win by much. It’s been a reliable 50/50 state and he wants to pretend that DeSantis had the margin he did because “well, it’s a red state anyway”. Demonstrable bullshite, but what I’ve come to expect.

No he’s not asking that. The point is that you cannot win on this issue. If you moderated your stance you might be able to get laws that allow abortion up to 12 weeks but not after, except in rare cases. If you continue in your extreme anti-abortion position (which I share, by the way) we will end up with laws allowing abortion up to 20, or even 30, weeks.

So the choice (just as an illustration) is abortion legal to 12 weeks, or abortion legal to maybe 25 weeks. And it all depends on anti-abortion people playing ball. If you don’t more babies will die, but you’ll have a clear conscience, I guess.

Says more about Trump than it does about Florida.

Florida hasn't had a Democrat as Governor in two decades, the state legislature has had a Republican majority for going on three decades, and only Clinton and Obama have won the state since Carter.

What many people don't realize is how many pro-lifers there are that don't care about the other issues or maybe would even lean Democrat if the issue was off the table.

What topics overlap between pro-lifers and Democrat positions that aren’t abortion?

When we’re talking about whether a state is “red”, the context being an attempt to explain away a blowout win for a competent governor, or whether it’s purple, are you going to pretend that margins are irrelevant?

I'm just giving you data that blows up your "50/50" fantasy.

fricking Jeb Bush won Florida by double digits. Twice.

And suburban adult women, who historically voted GOP until the Trump era ?

According the the data posted here a few days ago, Rs did well with married white women.

Single women is where Rs lost badly. The crazy, leftist, single women.

So apparently, married suburban women voted R this midterm.
