Heard a few days ago that a guy I knew from work took his own life.

Early 30’s with a family and was a vet. Nice guy...I just get the overwhelming feeling we are failing our people. I didn’t know him that well, but I really hurt for his family. People, if you feel like this and want to end the misery, please don’t do something like this. It destroys those you leave behind. Life is never ever as bad as it seems and has a way of unexpected grace.
If you feel like this, just talk to someone that loves you and tell them how you feel and think about those that you love that you will be leaving behind. God has a higher purpose for us all.

If you feel you are down on your luck, and times re hard, give God a try. You do not have to change. Your love for God will change you.

I used to think this but unless you are in someone’s shoes, you really don’t know. I’ve seen people go through a deal with some fricked up things and If I put myself in their situation, I would be depressed questioning life.
By the way, I think with suicide, we should trying to find out the causes. Most often time, when you see some celebrity commit suicide, you see that redundant 1800 number or people saying “talk to someone”. If talking was the solution, the problem would’ve been solved long ago as I can assure you that these people have tried before.
