Male meteorologists are some of the biggest soy boys alive so names aren’t surprising.

Isaiah? It's pretty common. Isaias is just the Spanish form of the same name.

Your white privilege is showing.

Seriously, if they are going to name every damn thunderstorm that is in existence, they have to come up with some doozies, or risk a crap ton of redundancy.

Many of the TV meteorologist are coming out of Mississippi State and you're right. They are soy boy liberals and many of them are gay.

I know one right now who bears that name. He's a legal Mexican immigrant and hands down the best welder I've ever worked with.

Everybody calls him ""Isaiah" or just "Izzy". Really good dude.

The names come from the World Meteorological Organization. NOAA and the National Hurricane Center don’t make the name list.

I have a degree in Spanish, and I'm usually pretty knowledgeable on Spanish versions of English names, but I've never seen "Isaias" before. It didn't register with me that it's the Spanish equivalent of Isaiah (or Isiah) when I first saw the name in the news yesterday. I guess a person is never too old to learn something. Turns 2 syllables into 4.
