Seriously, how hard is it to get an ID? Are we really that lazy of a country that we can't even get off our arse for a few hours to get an ID?
You need an ID for basic day to day life in this country. I don't know how someone can function without one. Why not use this as a means for people to actually get an ID?

I have had to show voter ID every election for the last 50 years. And I vote every election.
I had to show my ID at the liquor store when I was 45 years old. It was the greatest compliment I've ever received by a woman.

The problem isn't voter ID, it's a failure of State's to purge their voting rolls. Any law to clear this up should involve annual or even quarterly voter roll purges.

I would be in favor of this before IDs, but wouldn't that disinfranchise deceased voters?
