Have we talked about why Gabbard doesnt have DNC support?

Looks like in 2015 she spoke poorly about Obama's stance on radical islam. Seems like she is pretty moderate, but is forced to lean more left since she is now running for president. I don't think she will win the nominee, but i hope trump puts her somewhere in his cabinet.

According to the official, the 35-year-old Hawaii congresswoman is being looked as a candidate for secretary of state, secretary of defense or United Nations ambassador. If selected, Gabbard will be the first woman as well as the youngest pick for Trump's Cabinet.
She met with him this morning in his New York City offices at Trump Tower. The Trump transition source said that their sit-down was a “terrific meeting” and that the Trump team sees her as very impressive.
Gabbard, a progressive Democrat, has bucked her party in Congress and during the contentious Democratic primaries. In February she left her position as vice chairwoman of the Democratic National Committee to support Sanders. In the House she has broken with Democrats on the Syrian civil war (she supports keeping President Bashar al-Assad in power) and Syrian refugees (she voted for a GOP bill last year to conduct stricter background checks on refugees).

Tulsi isn't radical enough for the new breed of Democrats and she is too much of a straight shooter and conservative/libertarian for embedded, old-school progs like Pelosi. She was also one of the first House Dems to reach out to Trump and see how they could work together. A cardinal sin to the Resist Democrats
She has to run as a Democrat or she can't get elected in Hawaii. She was anti-gay marriage and anti-abortion but had to walk it back and toe the prog line just so she could get ahead in state politics and the Party.
She could flip parties or go independent but probably won't get re-elected in Hawaii. Working for Trump is a bad idea as he has a tendency to chew up people and spit them out.

She's an odd ball. Her dad was anti gay and conservative, she had that stance when she was young. She's softened it as she's gotten older. She's an indian (red dot) and she likes the military obviously. She's not really progressive but she's not conservative.
