Don't pretend for one second like you don't need those people. We all need those people and in order for them to be less reliant on food stamps and Welfare then they would need to make a slightly higher wage right? You guys can't have it both ways you can't expect for someone to make a low amount of wages and not get welfare or food stamps.

I "have" those people NOW? So, obviously, I don't need to pay MORE to get these people I "need".....right?

Care to explain how the populace's view of the law has swung in most cases 20-30 points positive into the green over the last 2 months?
Popular sentiment does not speak to a law's long-term effects/efficacy. If you believe that it does, I welcome your newfound full-throated support of the ACA.

If said welfare recipients get paid a "living" wage such as you suggest, what will they do when bread goes from $5 dollars a loaf to $10, milk to over $10, and every other food product goes up due to the wage increase? You think stores will just lose profit to pay your wage? Or do you think they will increase prices to make up the lost money? Now, the folks on food stamps don't care because they don't pay for the food, but the lower middle class that is struggling to get by will probably now qualify for food stamps. So in theory adding more welfare recipients.

So as inflation increases and the cost of living increases that keeping those people at that same $7.25 an hour price is totally acceptable? I'm not going to even get into the lack of human decency that you are post is lined with and Skip ahead to the part where you answer how a person who's making less than a livable wage does not require government assistance.
You need to understand that the two are symbiotic. If a person cannot pay their rent or for food they're going to get food stamps and government assistance which is going to come out of your pocket. The fact that you keep ignoring that aspect and the fact that minimum wage increases have been a regular thing throughout modern history is baffling

So you assume that everyone who is working in the milk industry or making bread makes minimum wage. Basically you are admitting that they all have employees that cannot make a living wage. So if they cannot survive on a living wage then it's probably coming out of taxes and government assistance to help them which still cost you money.
Your made-up number of $10 a loaf of bread or for a gallon of milk are just ludicrous and and you need to realize that

Raising the minimum wage is a way of protecting the lowest income part of society and ensuring that they are paid a living wage. Really shouldn't be that big of a problem considering it's happened over and over again.
Holy frick you're stupid. Increasing the minimum wage HURTS those who make minimum wage.
fricking Seattle says HELLO DUMBfrick.

You really are fricking stupid. If you raise minimum wage you have to increase wages across the board as those who made above min wage Will NOT do the same job when those beneath them are getting paid the same amount.
When you increase wages across the board, prices of goods and services increase. ACROSS. THE. BOARD.
Increase in min wage DIRECTLY correlates to an increase in the price of goods and services.
An increase in the price of goods and services disproportionatly affects those who make minimum wage.
HOW THE frick ARE YOU SO frickING STUPID.

Again, I don't know why everyone's acting like minimum wage doesn't go up over time. The point of view in this case that is arguing against mine is just ludicrous and ignorant
Good Lord - have you ever taken an economics class?
Why are the majority of professional economists - most of which are fairly liberal - against a mandated minimum wage? Do you think they are ludicrous and ignorant?
Or do you think they might, just might, know a little more than you do on this subject?

So companies are not trying to replace minimum wage workers with computers?

The fact that you just throw basic economics out of the window and then believe youre really making a sound argument is absolutely astonishing.
You can’t be this dumb in real life.
For the record, I didn’t vote for trump.
Not sure why I’m even trying here but,
Read any number of articles about what has happen in Seattle and maybe you can take your cult glasses off for a minute. I doubt it though. Those glasses are dark blue and red and most people can’t see out of them.
