I believe this part of the article is dishonest or misleading:
I have not read the proposed laws but this does not pass the BS meter and I have seen this same spin in other states.
Example: A restaurant (or church) could have a “no shirt no shoes no service” sign even if it is not a law. If someone violates the rule they can be asked to leave. If they refuse and police come, and if they still refuse to leave, they can be charged with trespassing. However, they cannot be charged with the felony of not wearing shoes because there is no law requiring people to wear shoes. By entering the restaurant barefoot, they violated a rule of the restaurant, not any law.
Same with guns. Under the proposed laws, by entering a church with a gun that does not allow guns you have broken a church rule. They can expel you from the congregation, ask you to leave, etc. What they cannot do is put you in prison. You have violated no law, just a church rule. They can have you charged with trespassing if you refuse to leave.
The anti-gun side is playing semantic tricks because what they really want is for their “no gun” church rules to be backed a law making it a criminal offence to violate this church rule. They have no right to that.
If you don’t believe I am correct tell me what would happen under these proposed laws if a person went into a no-gun church tripping a metal detector, and the church security told him to leave. The gun carrier calls 911 and says the church is not letting him in with his gun. The police arrive and arrest the church leaders and security for violating the law requiring them to allow guns. My question is show me in these proposed laws what the penalty would be for these church managers. Fines? Prison? I suspect you will not find any penalties because the anti-gun side is lying about these proposed laws requiring churches to allow guns.

This bill would allow legal gun owners to carry. Do you think someone who wants to shoot up a church gives a shite about the law? They can go into a church without a license and shoot it up. The arguments against this are idiotic.

I looked it up. In Louisiana signs that store owners put up prohibiting concealed carry are meaningless. In Texas, of all places, they carry the weight of law. I think that's one of the only states in the south that does that crap.

I wonder when they’ll have the balls to do Constitutional carry

I’ve been involved with enough Protestant churches to say with confidence that none of them are in any danger of refusing to allow concealed carry. All allow it and many many many have dedicated “security teams” that strategically place themselves in sanctuaries for good defensive coverage.
