He will mock you for not knowing about this version of trafficking

This is primarily labor trafficking, so it's along the lines of what I've said

The only allegations of anything sexual are the unfortunate sexual abuse while in American shelters, which is in no way implied to be the purpose of the trafficking.

WE ARE NOT THE GOVERNMENT!! As they burn government money doing shite for governments that governments can't legally do.

Aren't they also immune from any type of government oversight like audits and such?

DIdn't he say this wasn't happening? It's all a far right wing conspiracy theory conjured up to promote fear about the border?

No child labor trafficking definitely happens

I mean child sex trafficking happens, too, just less and primarily in areas nowhere near the US. Sex trafficking generally is found in Asia, Eastern Europe, and Africa.

Does it happen here? Sure. Is it common? No. Is it part of some international conspiracy for blood sacrifices? No.

He's playing passive defense. He can't say what he wants out loud. So, he tries to minimize, obfuscate, etc.

Had this conversation with a priest friend the other day, who insisted that sex trafficking is common here in the good old USA. As it turned out, our difference in understanding was a difference in the terms.

The term “sex trafficking” isn’t being used to describe kidnapping or involuntary movement and isolation of people for the purpose of exploitation. (That’s how I always understood the term.) The term “trafficking” is now being used for any involuntary or coerced sex work. The old term “pimp” has been replaced with “sex trafficker.” When understood this way, it makes more sense.

So what is being described using the term “sex trafficking” is simply the existence of prostitution with some level of coercion or abuse. That exists in virtually every community. The most common situation, far and away the most common, is sexual abuse and coercion by caretakers and family members of the victim. If they take a picture of the abused child and share it on the internet, they are a sex trafficker. If they “pimp” the abused person, they are a sex trafficker.

The idea of kidnapping and selling into sexual slavery is extremely rare and not actually what is being described using the new terminology.

Child rape in the Catholic church is documented. He didn't say trafficking.

Yes or No

Were you sexually abused (or abused in any other way) as a child?

Yes. The terminology has changed. People who want to give government more power always change the definition of words to achieve that goal.

Yes. Minor sex trafficking, too. The vast majority of cases involve a family member or friend of the family. The rest of the minority are dominated by runaways from...households of physical and sexual abuse.

The primary cause of what ends up as "child sex trafficking" in the US isn't some international conspiracy. It's sexual and/or physical abuse by family. The #2 cause is sexual abuse by close family friends.

Correct. "Stranger danger" happens but is VERY rare.

I've been posting about this (the Police State manufacturing the "human trafficking crisis" to replace the War on Drugs) for like 10+ years.

Long before that guy's grift started
