You make a great case for killing children up until about age 5 or 6.

A person is a living human being. Don't start drawing arbitrary lines, Adolph, it's a slippery slope.

Dude, the argument isn’t about smashing “innocent babies’ skulls”.

For political purposes, some want to portray a zygote without sensation
as a cuddly bundle of joy.

The physical infrastructure for this doesn't exist until about 30 weeks, so until that a point, a fetus cannot be a person, there is no "self" to kill via abortion. After that it's a grey area and where you stand on the naturalness of abortion, the priority of women v fetus, ect.

Trying to perpetuate suffering in people just because they want to have sex in order to save what is essentially an organ with no consciousness is pretty abhorrent and if you go through the controversial history of abortion laws in the US, you'll find that it has mainly been used to control the less fortunate or to dusingeniously appeal to hardcore Christians for their votes.

You can think that everyone has a soul, but you can't expect the legal system to impose your religion on everyone else.

Another question: what’s Desantis’ stance on IVF throwaways? How about you pro-lifers?

I'll hand it to governor piss taster, that was a solid answer.

The GOP can run away from being pro-life, but it does so at its own peril. The last serious candidate for president that came close to removing the pro-life plank from the GOP platform was Bush in the 2000 election. His people were very busily floating the idea right up to the Iowa Straw Poll.

Almost the entire, serious national pro-life movement was fighting to keep it in, the Iowa pro-life coalition got behind a very pro-life senator who was running. A man whose pro-life and whole-life bonafide were unquestionable and made sure he had a string finish in Ames. With that strong finish the Bush people relented on the removal of the pro-life plank and Bush was forced to pledge his support of pro-life.

If the GOP goes to being mute on the issue they lose a large, large portion of their base. It would ensure a near-immediate third party.

No sane person who has seen a 20 week anatomy scan would argue his nonsense

I'm pretty sure he's a big George Floyd fan so it makes sense he would be deranged

Why are you such a DeSantis hater and such a Trump fan if you feel this strongly about it? Trump's recent messaging on this has been awful.

I don't necessarily hate Desantis, I do see through him as the deep stater he is though.

Absolutely it has. Trump also gave us the justices that ended Roe. His actual actions on the life issue are what I am looking at. It isn't like Trump is going to reverse course if elected and replace justices with pro-abortion justices.

We, unfortunately, are not going to see a national right-to-life bill ever make it through the House and Senate. The best we as a movement can do right now is work at the state levels and also work to reach out to victims of abortion (the women) and aid them and educate people on the science behind abortion.

It wasn't that long ago when we had a lot of momentum. Remember when Abby Hanson left Planned Parenthood? We had the abortion industry on its heels, but evil always lashes out the most when it is about to be defeated.
