You would cry about access to them because
..because Alabama tried to close offices in majority-black counties? Because North Carolina expressly looked at racist ways to limit acceptable IDs? Because the South Carolina legislature commissioned a study which found it was harder for minority residents to get an acceptable ID?
Oh, right, you didn't know about any of that because Breitbart never reported it.

Sounds like bullshite to me.
What are you basing those claims on?

Realistically how hard is it to obtain an ID? i do not understand.

South Carolina legislature commissioned a study which found it was harder for minority residents to get an acceptable ID

Alabama tried to close offices in majority-black counties
quote:Did they admit that racism was the reason for the limits or is that you projecting your own delicate feelings on the matter? What were the acceptable forms of ID that NC wanted voters limited to?
North Carolina expressly looked at racist ways to limit acceptable IDs

Why do you balk at the idea of providing free voter IDs
I don't, but in practice voter IDs have never been truly free.

And what limitations are there to access?
Locations you need to visit to register, hours those locations are open, scarcity in low-income areas, etc. etc. etc.

Court cases. News reports with dozens of sources. Legislative transcripts. Published literature commissioned by Republican legislatures.
Your lack of awareness of them doesn't diminish their representation of suppression disguised as ID.

Tried to close -all- offices in those counties. They were rebuked, and backed down from the plan.

They asked for a list of IDs used more commonly by black voters than white voters, then crafted the law to disallow those IDs. It was incredibly stupid, but that really knows no bounds where NC and discrimination are in play these last few years.

How exactly do these suppressed people make it without ID's for benefits or day to day living?

He has very low expectations of black people.

If you don't drive there isn't much you need an ID for on a day to day basis. And you may have an ID that's acceptable to your day to day activities, but specifically barred from valid as a voter ID. Perhaps the name on your ID doesn't match the name on the voter rolls because of a clerk's error, and you no longer have the supporting documentation.
Not a hypothetical, btw. That happens not infrequently in states with ID laws.

"Reports"...Transcripts"..."published literature"?...Meh.
What court cases are you referring to? Court cases that explicitly stated that local, state, etc, government bodies, purposely crafted legislation to bar minorities form voting?...that is what your claim was. Which cases are you referring to?

No idea, but it won't be cheap to insure everyone has perfect access and none are disenfranchised. Don't you guys care about wasting money, or is that only during Democratic administrations?
quote:
Werent voting locations held open longer in NC in heavily democratic voting counties?
Not voting registration offices, just polls on the day of the election. Big difference.
quote:
How many voting locations do you feel is necessary to properly serve the public?
As many per county/district as to ensure that no individual is potentially disenfranchised.

So can't you use a phone to check how your name is listed beforehand?
and you can also request a copy of birth certificates and other things necessary to change or alter it.

This court case
Are you really this ignorant about the events of the country on which you claim to have an opinion, or are you just pretending? We've covered this before.
I swear, it's like you guys tag in a new group of morons every month or so.
