I didn't notice any dead bodies on the way into work. I've been here a few hours. Are they piling up yet? Should I check Waze for an alternate route home this afternoon. Is there any food left at the store? What is the toilet paper situation like?

Why is Trump saying the Democrats want to protect healthcare for illegals? Aren’t illegals in eligible for healthcare subsidies?

Because blue state governors continue to illegally spend federal money in forbidden ways.

As I said. It isn't hard to find and yet our resident leftist keep saying it is a lie and not true. And if NY is doing that, then who knows how far California has taken it.

ok i got a mtg in just a sec so this may take a couple of replies.

AS GOD AS MY WITNESS, THIS IS 100% FACT based on my memory.

started college at LC in Pineville.

Joined the 'rangers' club on campus; led by a CRAZY vietnam vet, who now that i'm thinking back on it, it was nuts this guy had access to military vehicles and the ft polk armory. picture the dude in full metal jacket with the THICK BLACK-FRAMED glasses. tall & skinny and i swear the glasses he wore were bigger than he was but it gave him an air of 'intellectual-ness'.

just full access.

so once a month we would have a 'training' exercise on base. we were given military surplus (boots, fatigues, c-rats, camo sticks, the whole nine yards) and loaded up on a deuce & 1/2.

we were issued M16s and each squad got one M60. somehow that was me so every time we went to play wargames, i had to haul that thing around.

he would arrange games like 'escape an invasion', 'support for a central american country', etc. and he was always WELL PREPARED.

we would start out on a road but then he would intentionally rip the steering wheel 90 degrees and off we went up and down ravines, holding on for dear life

sometimes the enemy would be waiting and block the road and we would have a FULL ON FIREFIGHT WITH REAL M16s and M60s, just loaded with blanks and an orange metal doohickey screwed to the end of the barrel to prevent debris from flying out and killing someone.

we were literally pointing the guns at the 'enemy' and firing away.

ETA STORY CONTINUES BELOW -----------------

on this one night after crossing a pond (up to our shoulders, had to carry our weapons over our heads sliding along a wire) we made camp and had to dig foxholes imagine soft-arse 18yos trying to dig foxholes in the La heat and gumbo mud. anyway, we knew the enemy was coming so we had to prepare.

about 2am i'm rocked away by the sound of gunfire and flares going up from the nearby woods. it was so surreal that i couldn't stop my hands from shaking or get my breathing under control even though i knew it was just a war game.

so i racked my m60 and...boop. one shot; jammed. racked it again (those stuck rounds aren't easy to eject) and same thing. then i noticed SOMEONE HAD SNUCK UP AND REMOVED MY FLASH SUPPRESSOR. so my M60 was LIVE, just firing blanks at people. without the suppressor attached the blanks lacked the recoil pressure to eject the brass so it was useless as an automatic weapon.

To reiterate: I WAS AIMING AND FIRING AN M60 AT PEOPLE!

so i got my arse chewed out about falling asleep and letting my squad down. Glasses showed up with another suppressor i attached (fricker..i know it was him that took it) and when i finally let it rip everyone on the squad was like HELL YEAH! M60 is live! GIVE 'EM HEL!!

so after we 'repelled' the enemy, 'glasses' walked around to each 'dead' soldier and with a cap gun in his hand, put a 'bullet' in each one's head DID I MENTION HE WAS NUTS?

anyway, looking back it seems crazy to me how much access we had to all of these weapons. you damn well better get it clean after the event though, we spent at least 2 hours cleaning the rifles at the end; having to completely disassemble them.

my dorm room was filled with M60 belts. i must have had 2-3,000 rounds of blanks that i hauled around with me along with c-rats from wwii (which btw, were actually pretty delicious..particularly the john wayne bar and the beans & franks) and got to keep the boots too.
