Right, so then why do we care if a rogue clergyman moves forward with the ceremony? Gay people are gonna gay. They have the right to live together and do whatever they want in the bedroom. You can disapprove all you want. That's fine.

This is a legal matter.

You're saying they shouldn't have the legal RIGHT to be married. That is un-American as it gets. You are either pro freedom or you are not.

GOD gets to decide if a marriage is holy or not. So we should stop squabbling about who calls it what. That is literally semantics you're getting upset about.

Every religious scholar on earth agree's, old men wrote the bible. Every, single, book. Then later, they edited it, heavily.

You are showing ignorance of scripture. The Bible says there will be a great falling away from the faith in the last days, and Jesus himself said,” will I even find any faith when I return?”
So laugh if you will, but people departing from the faith is actually part of biblical prophecy.

God has seen enough. First Abortion

Ironically, that will be what ultimately ends this debate in America. Anti-abortion laws are inherently religious. The entire concept is based on the idea of the "soul" entering the body at conception.

People try to ignore that by making the heartbeat billboard material but any reasonable person knows that a heart doesn't make a person. A person can exist with an artifical heart, without a heart temporarily and with a transplant without a change to their "self" The actual determining force is your brain, which means that anything without the infrastructure to form memories and learn from experiences cannot be a person, because they don't have a self.

Abortion bans, being entirely reliant on the imaginary concept of a "soul", will eventually fall and the time it is going to take for that to happen is being accelerated by the overall decrease in religious participation in the country, thankfully.

This isn’t true. Since the invention of equipment like 3d ultrasounds and the ability to deliver babies at younger stages of development, it’s scientifically clear that the baby in the womb is a separate and distinct life.

I agree with all of that, but I do not think people are near ready to give up on religion whatsoever. So, hopefully the speed with which humans transition continues to be as slow as it has been.

In the end, what a free society decides is murder is what the real argument is about. It is murder to kill a human being that has a brain. When you kill a baby in utero that has pain or fear when it's happening, that is fking murder. Period.

So are you disagreeing with God in the fact that he says that Homosexuality is a sin and that not a single homosexual will ever enter into Heaven?

First of all. I'm not religious, to be clear.

But your argument is missing the point. If God decides homosexuality is a sin, and he doesn't bless any union between man and man or woman and woman, then the ceremony is irrelevant.

Anti-gay marriage people are simply pissy about them BEING ALLOWED to call it "marriage" or being able to have the ceremony itself. Being mad about a term people use, "marriage" in this instance, is like being mad at a tree for being a tree. People will use terms wrong all the time.

Marriage IS a biblical principle, and the bible/God does not recognize same sex marriage. Who cares that they call it marriage? Why does that bother anyone? Who cares if a pastor/priest holds the ceremony? How does that affect you?

God gets to decide if it's holy or not. Not man.

Also, I don't recall a scripture that specifically states homosexuals cannot enter into heaven. We do all sin, after all. God designed us that way, if He's out there.

No measure of repentance can stop us from sinning. Likewise, no measure of repentance can just change the nature of a person's sexuality.

Life does not neccesitate personhood. Personhood necessitates a "self" which requires the physical infrastructure of the brain.
