the FDIC is essentially guaranteeing over $20 trillion in deposits
That’s wrong by a factor of almost 100%. As of March 1 the total FDIC insured deposits were about $10.5 trillion. And total U.S. commercial bank assets available to cover those deposits equals $23.3 trillion.

You continue to be clueless about anything related to financial markets.

This is what Trump did in 2019, tried to pump the economy with cash, re-institute QE wo the number would look better for re=election.

It's the same playbook. Never changes.

When a (R) is in office, "things are only getting better because of what the last Democrat guy did!!!", and when a (D) is in office, "things are only bad now because of what the last Republican guy did!!!!"

You have to admit though a presidents impact isn't usually felt during that term but after. 2nd terms you reap what you sowed mostly

The rate cuts will be well timed in mid to late summer so further inflation is delayed until after the 2024 GE.

That is way too late. Now might be too late. By late summer the number of undecideds is almost zero, and what's left is 90% a turnout battle. And a cut in mid-summer isn't going to have much effect on anything the voters will notice until well after the election.

No, if the Fed was going to try to put their thumb on the election scale, now is about the last chance to do so. It would cause huge inflation, too, so that wouldn't work too well for Biden.

I know you dont like hearing it, but Donny used all the tricks to make you think the economy was humming, so he would be re-elected.

You dont care. You only care when the other guy does it.

3 cuts are coming

I guess the question is what type of cuts. Are we saying 3 cuts at 25 bips per meeting or are we talking Greenspan 75 bps style? I think that's the real question OP was getting at. A mere 25 basis pts times 3 won't move the needle for Potato and Heels Up imo.

I don't recall DJT raiding the Strategic Reserves on a monthly basis for almost 12 full months to buy votes, and not replenishing the SPR accordingly. I don't recall DJT circumventing a SCOTUS rule on Student Loans and buying votes.
