Just to let you in on a little secret... that gray area in the charts is the "I can't stand the SOB but cannot say it for fear of ruining my career OR I can't stand the SOB but I am not going to express my opinion out of respect for the office"...

Same. Those close to me knew where I stood, but I kept my social media clean as frick while serving under a CiC I wasn't a fan of. You couldn't have paid me to answer any such official survey with anything other than a "neutral" while I was on active duty.
