That's what has led to this. They've been fricking around with Israel for decades and anytime Israel fights back, the international community throws hissy fits. 10/07 happened and Israel finally reached the point anyone with at least a passing flirtation with objectivity could see: there would never be peace as long as Hamas (and its enablers) continued to exist. The "find out" phase of this has thus far included:
-Gazans squished into an ever-shrinking area because Hamas refuses to surrender their hostages
-Hezbollah's leadership getting paged to death
-A lot of Iran's leadership killed or scared shitless
IDGAF about Israel, but when some group attacks a people for decades while those people have mainly engaged in defensive rebuttals, and then that same group breaks into that country and commit mass homicides... they deserve all the "find out" they get.

Well, they’re different ethnicities, speak differently languages, have somewhat divergent religious beliefs, and they only worship a deity, but other than that, I guess you’re right.

They also have different regional goals save for one thing. Iranian support for Palestine is also a way for Iran to undermine Arab governments, who have populations that largely support the Palestinian cause but whose governments would rather normalize relations with Israel.
