Being that diesel sells for so much above the price of regular gas is a bigger wonder. It’s making is less costly than octane designer gas, basically a waste product in the refining process of oil to product production. For 50 plus years it was below the price of regular till about 15 years ago. Now it seems to have become 1-1.50 higher, as they ship over seas creating a higher overall market

Im willing to pay more!! Spoiled arse, weak minded folks are pitiful and shameful.
Most Americans now days are only concerned about their comfort and wifi signal. The pussification of America.
Some don't understand that cows must be butchered for their hamburgers!
Ridiculous.
This military effort has been needed for a long time, for many reasons. We can start with all the Iranian terrorists attacks that killed Americans....

Not enough refineries for the demand but is there any way you can do an average price since POTUS Trump took office?
You just admitted that you know ZERO about oil and refining. We have 3 refineries shutdown permanently in Louisiana since 2020. Two of them quite modern. In the last decade, refining capacity has never hit 100%

I'll pay more for gas temporarily if it means the Anti-American terrorist regime in Iran is toppled, and we leave the SPR alone.
I was paying almost $5 a gallon under Biden because he was paying for rent, food and Healthcare for illegal immigrants while his policies resulted in raised prices on quite literally everything. My memory is long enough that $3.50/gallon doesn't feel too bad. I remember eggs being $8/dozen. Do you, Jack?

You are weak. If 40-50 bucks a month is breaking you, drop your Netflix and Prime subscription, turn your HVAC off and wear a sweater or crack a window.
Gas is $3.27 by my house in Metairie.

Like I said earlier, there are not enough oil refineries. Put them everywhere and make them compete. Nothing but monopolies until it occurs.

Refineries need to be at around 90% to break even. What monopolies? I have zero idea what you are smoking but it is some whacky tobaccy for sure
It won't make a rat's arse for price at the pump. Refineries make next to no money on gasoline on a good year. FACT.
BTW, Newtron never knew a damned thing about crude oil or refining.

Refineries are a monopoly. Increase the number of refineries and create competition. Fine the major oil companies for funding GREENPEACE, SIERRA CLUB and other like entities

Obviously we do not have enough. No doubt about it after that post.

Those are the owners. Marathon has the most refining capacity of all. It used to be Valero, before that it was Exxon.
The name on the gas pump doesn't mean that the gas comes from one its refineries. Where tank trucks depart with gasoline is where the additives are blended in depending on brand. The new refinery announced by Trump will be built in Brownsville because its products are for export, That refinery couldn't breakeven shipping them in the US.
The US imports over 4 million barrels per day. We are not crude oil independent and haven't been since 1943
