I understand why he did it but his messaging in the first few days was way to Rosey. He had to have been given the same forecast that made senators sell all their stock. He should know he wasn't going to stop a mass sell off with his press briefings.

Cannabis dispensaries are considered an essential business according to California's proclamation. Hard to argue Game Stop is any less essential. I can see their point though I don't know if I agree with it. You are going to have all kinds of kids, teenagers, and college students stuck inside houses all day and night for probably at least six to eight weeks in the states with Democrat governors. They are going to need something to entertain themselves with and stay out of their parents hair. (Maybe they aren't essential in fighting Coronavirus but they might be useful in reducing the number of mass murders and murder/suicide incidents involving them and their parents.) Either way I'm happy to see any business pushing back on the creeping ivy of authoritarianism that is infecting state and local governments with this.

Digital is the future and is WAY more efficient than physical copies. The people that want to keep physical games around are hampering progress because they want to be able to sell their shite for $3 to Gamestop

Why would I want to pay the same price for a product but not own it? Physical copy gives me total ownership. I could play it in a cabin in the middle of Antarctica. Just think of all the music people download from iTunes. They can decide at any time to take that music away from you. If for some reason you lose it you have to go through them to get it back. You're relying on their servers staying running. What if they fold up shop? What if your internet goes down?

This cloud-based shite needs to stop. Virtual ownership of something is just that, you virtually own it. Not actually

I actually know a GameStop manager. She fine. Anyway. She’s constantly refuting on fb that they aren’t closing.
