Trump probably has 5 more years, so the "final year" doesn't apply if RBG goes soon.

It matters not. When Scalia died the Republicans controlled the Senate. They refused to hear Obama's nominee. They still control the Senate but they will hear Trump's nominee. To the victors go the spoils.

That won’t stop Schumer from trying to prevent Trump from getting another SCOTUS pick.
