If the doctor runs his own surgical center, he may can do this, but the problem comes when that Dr is an employee of a large system, which most are now. The facility fees are the biggest cost, and the Doctor has little influence on billing anymore, as they are employees…

An average family of four is now saving $2500 a year because of Obamacare. I’d say it’s well worth it.

Was gonna say this. When gov runs health care you reduce competition. Therefore no reason to innovate.
There is a reason anyone in the world with a terminal disease come to the US for treatment.
I believe children under 18 should be covered under some sort of tax funded healthcare but after that you are on your own. This at least covers those people unable to fend for themselves.

Look at the numbers:
Dr visit $65 -- Medical care
Specialist $65 -- Medical care
Surgery Dr Fee $165 -- Medical care
Facility Fee $3,996.00 -- MBA Return for investors and executives
It isn't the medical care part of the system that's screwing everybody over.

I've never understood the concept of why an employer should pay any of anyone's health care.
