With all the fake news, click bait, and marginally informed drivel out there these days, sometimes it’s hard to find news from an author with intimate knowledge of his or her subject. Reading this article by Mr. Saakashvili, it’s obvious his insights into Russia are unmatched by 99% of the US authors speculating on Trump’s position (left or right, for that matter). And his ultimate conclusion, after a very well-reasoned build up, is that Trump’s Russia strategy is significantly better for American interests and the interest of allies in the region than Obama’s was.
