For the more government Democrats/ Leftists/ Progressives/ Marxists types, why?

For those that yearn for more government control over your lives, why? What about your experiences dealing with our government agencies makes you say, "Yeah, i want more of that in my life"? What is it, in the way they waste money, are so susceptible to fraud from the inside, and the general corruption that goes on in government, is it that you yearn for? Have you ever had to deal with the government for anything?

I have 2 recent anecdotes that just leave me baffled how a human would want to deal with government types.

IRS - I have been having to deal with the IRS concerning my taxes. It is nearly impossible to talk to an actual human being. The 800 number is a minimum 45 minute wait if they don't hang up on you and make you start over. The local BR office number off of corporate gives you a canned message and states, specifically they do not answer phones at that location, and they really don't interact with people in person unless an emergency. What the frick are they actually doing if they don't answer phones or provide services to people? Their automoated computer service is does not afford one the options to address their problem.
USPS - there is not a bigger failure in the world than the idiots that work at the USPS. I subscribe to the informed delivery and rarely do i get what is emailed to me i'm supposed to get. I straight up had one of those Covid stimulus cards back in 2020 stolen by the post office. I try to contact a human (good luck) and after 2 weeks, they state there is nothing they can do. They just scan the packages/mail and load it onto a truck. They can't confirm if they deliver your mail, they only confirm it was loaded onto a truck. Their parcel delivery is dogshit. I've had packages that stated were delivered, only to go check the package delivery box to find it empty. I had to go to the local post office to find out what happened to my package, and again, they tell me, "well we only track the package when it gets on the truck. But it said it was delivered." When i tell them i don' thave th package they tell me, "well it must have been at night or raining, because they don't deliver packages at night or if it's raining. They don't have lights in the truck to see if there are packages in the back." And today, after over a week of ordering some cigars (they stupidly sent it via USPS) the package is still not shipped. USPS can't even tell me if they received the package. Oh, and by the way, good luck if you complain about your lack of mail getting to you. You do that, and you can guarantee your mail will begin getting "lost" a lot more frequent.

And then let's not forget how corrupt our local government is, and every uneducated moron looking for a payday uses the system as their personal get rich scheme to inevitably (after years of abuse) finally gets caught to only get a slap on the wrist by some regressive DA.

What about the relationship between exponentially more spending on public education correlating with the lowering of test scores makes you think "Yeah, i need more of that"?

What about every single instance of the government getting involved in something or "taking over" something in the private sector, and without fail every time, they completely frick up that system, do you like?

What about this system is appealing to you?

There is not 1 single facet of government that if performed in the private sector like a government employee, would get you fired.

And then we let these types "govern" us? Just think of that. Think of those people who want nothing more than to be in government. They want to be in charge of this stupidity.
