I consider him the better option.

quote:Yes, we should take care of our people. I agree with that. While we should help outsiders if we can, it is hard to trust foreign governments and organizations to whom we send food. They often repackage it and resell it on local and foreign markets. North Korea is notorious for this.
Charity starts at home. Does taking care of your own family come after or before you take care of others? I’d say Jesus would tell us to feed and care for our own American citizens first. You don’t have to look far to find people who need our help in America.

No…no there is not. I don’t know what televangelists told you this, but not taught by the Fathers of the Church through writings nor traditions nor can you show me anywhere in Holy Scripture that says such.

Or as something else. Obviously flawed but it does seem that in the Bible, God uses flawed people to carry out something really important.
3.
He does a lot of dumb stuff and says a lot of things I don’t care for. But he says and does a lot less than the people he’s ran against.
Even if he’s wrong about something, I at least understand why he’s doing it (tariffs, big beautiful bill, etc.)

God had allowed him to be in the White House. I see him as kind of a modern day Jehu. Not perfect but chosen for a purpose.

The Gospel translated to Greek literally means “Good News” and the Gospel of Jesus Christ never brings “bad news” to those who love Him.
Christ said no one is truly good except the Father, so there’s that.

GOD also allowed Biden, Obama, Bushes and Clinton to be in office…like Proverbs says God causes it to rain on the good and the bad.
Don’t get carried away comparing Trump to King Jehu…Jehu was an actual warrior (unlike draft dodging Donald) who fought at the front of his men and Jehu also led Israel further to its destruction in the end.

On all counts right, but it’s to illustrate than manner in which people see people as good and bad. Bad people know they don’t deserve heaven and so are more apt to put their entire faith and trust in the finished works of Jesus Christ alone for salvation while people who fashion themselves as good people, or even some good or trying real hard for Jesus are often relying upon some kind of goodness with or without Christ to gain entry and that isn’t how it works.
