That's a leap in logic the size of the grand canyon.

I have no idea why this board is so convinced Mike Flynn is a hero

It's weird

FWIW, he always seemed like a decent man and was a hell of an intelligence officer for most of his career. But he seemed bent on going off the reservation from time to time--and that gets riskier as you get more senior. He seemed to not appreciate that.

Guys like that always end up rising to the top or self-imploding...or (as in this case) both.

I almost always assume that new people are retreads as well, but it does raise the question: How does one sign on to the p-board as a new poster in today's climate? Is there an expected number of days/posts on the OT or one of the sports boards before you can saunter over here and kick shite? If so, what is it?

It's got to be tough to break in.

He was hell bent on revenge after getting fired. He also had a chip on his shoulder for most of his career because he wasn't a "west point" guy.

I think these two combined put him where he is today.

Or he doesn't want to accept a handout? Nah, that couldn't be it.

Dude took 45k for giving a speech to a Russian propaganda outlet

Would be a weird time for him to get uptight about accepting $$$ help

LoL

How do you sue for malicious prosecution, and seek punitive damages, if someone else pays your legal bills?

I don't think anyone on here could be any dumber than you. Flynn 'bout to get paid, and treble damages
