Fleming's story on why he didn't get Trump's endorsement

Fleming claims dirty politics have come into play in this race, especially when it comes to her endorsement from President Trump.

“Jeff Landry, our Governor, his cronies up in Washington that he’s grown close to, they put a moat around the president, and they would not let me contact him or talk to him,” Fleming said.

When he finally got a call from those in Washington, Fleming says it was to buy him out.

“What they wanted to talk to me about is something to do with taking a job and dropping out of the race, so she can be elected,” Fleming said.

Fleming then finally gets a phone call from a close friend, who tells him the president wanted to speak to him.

“They patched me through to the President; we had about a 20-minute discussion,” Fleming said.

Detailing the call, Fleming says he reminded President Trump of his service in his first administration and what he stands for.

“He said, ‘Well you’re fantastic, why didn’t you come to me before?’ And I said ‘Sir, I was blocked at every turn,'” Fleming said.
