First off, it's this kind of attitude that caused the opening the Russians were able to exploit. It's not that you just disagree with me, it's that you disagree with a vehemence that expresses itself in condescension because it's easier than dialogue.

Secondly, your previous posts show you've already made up your mind so there's a bit of irony there when someone whose already shut down their own mind to any other options tells another they lack depth and intellect.

But feel free to stick to your emo knee-jerk reactionary response that shootings are the fault of the firearm and not the shooter.

Teach children that they are nothing significant, simply a matter of chance, and that life is empty and meaningless and then be surprised that they live out that philosophy.

yea, we should teach them that they are all special unique snowflakes and hand out participation trophies so that they feel valued

You are the one who can't explain how we fix parenting. I simply asked how you would go about it. So pretend you are my equal and express your ideas.

We shirk from pointing blame at people in this country, shame has become "bullying" and so many would rather take the easy route out and blame firearms than closely and publicly examine the life that pushes these kids down this path.

I can guarantee you one thing. If that kid was on the Autism spectrum, he has been bullied and belittled incessantly his whole life.

How about a little parenting from the bullies' parents.

I haven't explained it because "fixing" shitty parenting is an impossible task.

Instead of "we" need to "fix" it, rather shitty parents need to be held more accountable for their shitty parenting instead of focusing on the red herring of gun control.

I've stated as much multiple times in this thread. Is there something else you were looking for?

There has been massive downward pressure on crime rates overall, homicide rates, and violent crime rates since the 90's, to the degree that the rate at the moment is just under 400 violent crimes per 100,000, down from a high in 1990 of 731, and total crimes index rates are down to levels not seen since before 1967. This is despite an overall increase in both population and diversity. No one has given me a sufficient answer for this downward pressure.

Honestly I don't think broadly there is shitty parenting in this country as it relates to crimes. It might explain some of the mass shootings, but those seem to be outliers that, in my view, have to do with social media, socialization, and general isolation.

Yes, nothing to do with assault Weapons, so you're thinking 7 Year Old, should bring 50 Cal., Rifles to school??

That's just stupid. A 7 year old can't handle the recoil of a .50 cal. You send him with a .22 then move up as he ages.

How do you go about fixing shitty parenting in a country with over 300 million people?

We can start by not rewarding people with free money to be single parents. And stop giving more "entitlements" to people that pop out kids while already living off of taxpayers.

So you have the belief an amazing parent can’t have a crappy kid?

Kids especially teenagers are vastly more influenced by their peers than they ever will be by their parents.

It is very, very rare.

Lousy parent in most cases as the family unit is being systematically destroyed and that resulting in a lousy kid is almost a guarantee
