Understand that some people just are not cut out for peace and prosperity.

Expecting people to start showing up soon. Already laying the subtle ground work.

Well today was actually very civil and pleasant. Not a single mention of politics. We did the Thanksgiving blessing pretty soon after everyone arrived so no one had been drinking and stirring the pot. Just added that I’m thankful for all the blessings 2024 brought and looking forward to more to come in 2025. Sorry to get y’all’s hopes up but this was probably all for the best. No unnecessary drama or tension. Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!

ive thanks that Gen X will save our country by weeding out all the corruption in DC and putting the crooks in jail, Dem and Rep. I’m a tail end boomer and watching the older hippie lib boomers who are tyrants go down will be glorious. Get after it Gen X. And nothing short of exposing all of congress financial crimes and throwing them in jail is acceptable
Everything they said is true. We will deliver our republic from destruction.

*tl;dr cool story bro warning*
I’m visiting my mom for Thanksgiving. I’ll be the only conservative in the house. She’s a lib. Not as extreme as my sister, but her friends she’ll be having over for Thanksgiving are probably that level of bat shite. Well, tonight two of her friends that are staying with us arrived and they’re sitting around the table after dinner going off about politics, mainly Trump. There’s really no point to even engage after hearing the mainstream media talking points they’re rattling off. So, I took their plates away for them and cleaned up the kitchen then found solitude outside in the backyard with the dogs.
It was in my isolation when it hit me. On Thanksgiving when we’re all gathered around the table about to enjoy a nice meal, it’s typical for everyone to share what they’re thankful for. I will of course say I’m thankful for my mother and her friends for being around for the holiday, but I decided I will add that what I’m most thankful for this year is Donald J Trump. I usually don’t get involved in political discussions around her or that sort of company, but frick it I wanna see some faces melt.
We have that in my family also, and it deeply divided us. Some are libs and others are conservative. I support neither. I pick out the pieces from both parties that need to change, and base my opinion on that, and give my opinion why. Both parties are leading America into destruction and its not going to stop with either party.
You shouldn't have to choose a party just to have our border protected. Most of these issues should be bipartisan. The wealthy elite are keeping the issues going to keep people divided, just like governments send out there troll farms to manipulate web forums like this one. John Barron is the most obviously one here, with 70 or 80 posts per day .

Well bully for you but one or the other party has to win in any given election, and while you're busy being above it all one of those parties is making decisions designed to flush the country down the can and the other (at least with trump at the helm) is trying to save it, and the gap between the two is not close.
I don't agree with everything Trump wants either. But if you're going to pull the, "Well, Akshually, neither party is a true solution to our problems" when the difference between them is as stark as it was this election cycle then to quote Bill Mahr, I'm filing you under "Part Of The Problem."
