Just looked at this.
J Edgar Hoover is not as guarded as most people think. There was a armed robbery just outside of the complex in April and the suspect got away. This is why the increase in security makes sense. After the raid on Mar A Lago threats against the FBI are up and then the shooting at the Cincinnati office happened.
Across the street from the FBI building is the Department of Justice which has also had a increase in threats.
