so, I am rarely on facebook, but was just on a few moments ago (to check out updates from the pool we are members of)

for fun, I clicked on the red button for "updates" & saw that a few people had posted photos that might include me

so, there were 2 of them and BOTH of them were of my 11 year old son - I was not "tagged" in either picture

his face was outlined as possibly being me (he does look a lot like me - poor kid...)

I have to admit, that creeps me out a little bit; it also demonstrates why this tech SHOULD NOT be used by government as a tool to identify and possibly restrict folks

Every smart phone has this and is more than likely turned on. Do I agree with it? No. However, it is probably too late.

It’s pretty accurate but far from perfect. I’m ok using it to round up suspects but don’t think it should be used as a sole portion for prosecution. Although, the way leftists are acting like lunatics I’d be willing to give it a try.

Man you got to turn off facial recognition, the mic, the camera, when theyre not use. You got a Ring App on your phone, it's Amazon, turn it off when not using it. A friend of my wife left her phone, sitting on the counter, all day, they have Alexa, but it creeps her out, so its off most of the time. Earlier in the day, she was talking to my wife about a pizza party for the kids. Cut to later that evening, friends kid turns on Alexa, and Alexa asks if shes ready to order pizza.

Was flying to Japan last month on Delta. They didnt even ask for my boarding pass, they used facial recognition instead.

Avtually, SanFran just made it illegal for LEO to use it. But big market for it.

Which I believe is connected to your DL correct??

Funny how govts are going after Google, and such for "sharing private data, "which i'm good with them doing, but they themselves are sharing our private data with 3rd Party companies to be able to do this.

When did we give the govt permission to do that??

So is delta the only one doing this right now?

Do we have any right to say no, and give them the boarding pass? For goodness sake we havent had to identify ourselves once past TSA. So whats the purpose of TSA?

Just dont care for being forced to give a private company my face to keep on their databases, since i'm the customer.

This shite chaps my hide...ha.

Your face is not private, when in public.

But being forced to give it to a private company that I'm a customer of?

So you are ok with being tracked to these levels?

For sure. Some people are just able to read the tea leaves better than others. Bad part is they come off as crazies, and blown off.

Orwell was smart by the way he presented his. Instead of standing on a street corner yelling a people

It made the line go faster.

I mean they have all your passport info too.

I'll get worked up over other things.
