A spokesman for the Christian Legal Centre, the lawyers representing the family, said the Court of Appeal has agreed to hold a hearing this afternoon at 2 PM, as to whether parents Thomas Evans and Kate James can transport heir son abroad to receive treatment.

The day we ever see anything like the NHS and their ghoulish socialized medicine here in the United States of America is the same time when we have to call it quits and secede.

You Tube of Alfie awake, blinking, and sucking pacifier

Don't click if you don't want to be really really pissed off.

frick them, the father should slit all their throats, anyone stopping his child from getting the care he needs. I don't understand how people in their situation can sit by, I'd have killed anyone that began to utter the word no to me, very simple.

Such a shitty world we have developed into

My daughter suffered from a rare mitochondrial deficiency. She wasn’t expected to be born alive. She was premature by 3 months. Miraculously lived and had a very full and meaningful 15 years despite health issues and being wheelchair bound. This story—I was not aware of until today—both angers and saddens me.

ETA: why would this get down voted? I’m saying they should provide the child with medical care. My daughter received the care she needed.

A lot has happened since this article.

- The father lost their appeal to remove him and take him to Italy.

- Today, Alfie's lips turned blue and the father started giving him mouth to mouth. That has worked for now....

frick these bastards for putting this kid through hell. For not allowing them to try something different.

Very dam close to it right now.

It's called Medicare.

We are forced on it when we get to 65 (might be 67 now) just in case you didn't know.

Is the royal family subjected to the same standards?

Better yet, has the royal family spoken out about this at all?

Disgusting. Liberals of course rejoice in this child’s death at the hands of their god, the government.

We can all agree this is horrific. There’s no need to be this damn partisan all the time.

It’s a partisan issue. The left supports government run everything. This is the only logical result of that belief system.

Name one person rejoicing. There’s plenty of “left” posters here. Name one who would rejoice over this.

Are those posters arguing against the policies that allowed this to happen? Not doing so is tacit approval of this child’s murder

No. They will feign sadness and just move on. It’s disgusting.
