How is an EV self sufficient? Is there one that charges itself while driving and doesn't require you to plug in for a charge?
You do know that you can charge a battery without plugging in to the electrical grid, right?
Or do you not know what self-sufficiency means?

Motorcycles will be the ultimate freedom machine.

If I didn’t know better, I would almost think our government wants to control our lives.

You not understanding the point is the least surprising thing I'll read today.
The Government doesn't need electric vehicles to cut power to you or to remove any other service for that matter. They have that ability right now without electric vehicles
You people are so dumb.

No. You can build a motorcycle in your garage.
Remember Orange County Choppers?

Homebrew fuel if need be.
Alcohol or bio diesel.

If you have an EV that gets 4 miles/kWh, for every 100 miles you travel you will need to add 25kWh to your car battery. Using the 2 solar chargers that you mentioned you mentioned earlier,
quote:
You can get two 2000WH solar panel generators for $2700 on Amazon. It takes 9.5 hours to charge them in the sun.

Assuming 9.5 hours of sun each day, you would need to charge for 6+ days to get the 25 kWhrs needed to go a hundred miles.....

Anyone seriously considering being self sufficient needs to invest in a real solar system, not some bullshite off amazon.

quote:It's actually about keeping the slaves on the plantation. The slave owners in the 1800's (aka democrats) didn't like their slaves leaving the plantation then either. Gasoline/Diesel equates to freedom because you can get 8-10 five gallon fuel cans and move from democrat run cesspools to Red States half way across the US. Hard to get those darn electrons to stay in those cans.

The real reason for ethanol mandates is it gives gasoline a shorter shelf life so you can’t hoard it.

I have a 40amp charger that can charger my wife or SIL's Teslas just like normal. Granted, i have a large solar setup with a large battery bank, but we can and have gone off-grid for over a month. I can also back-feed power from the car into the house if needed.

You're a moron. Morons don't like it when they're made to look like morons. You'd have an easier time if you'd accept that there are people who know what they're talking about. You tried to pull some shite you read on Google, but you don't know enough about the topic to actually know what it meant.

But you're still on a 100 mile leash, if you don't use the power grid.

170ish. But no one can disrupt my supply, price gouge me, etc. Gas cars are beholden to supply chains and refining. The only person who can disrupt my mobility is Elon Musk.
