You can inherently know DeSantis is doing a good job because mass media dropped the story shortly after the Storm passed.

And by the way, great job to the Biden optics team setting this up when they knew DeSantis would be speaking. DeSantis is effectively the second President of the United States anyway since all the red and a select few blue governors follow his lead. It will not be the last time we see DeSantis behind this seal.

This fricking mushbrain couldn't find Florida on a map. His first 2 years in office haven't produced more than 5 mins of coherent thought. He's a vegetable that gets pumped full of stimulants and wanders around on stage until he recognizes a familiar face and stumbles off into a group of white suits with nets. Occasionally he thinks he's still fighting corn pop and lashes out at imaginary demons in a drug fueled rage. But TmcGin loves him

Gavin was almost recalled, dude. DeSantis is by far the most popular governor in the country and possibly politician in general. Obviously Gavin sees DeSantis and not Trump as his most likely opponent, but DeSantis is uniquely suited to destroy Gavin. Just compare how Florida businesses faired during the pandemic vs California businesses. DeSantis would make very short work of Gavin on the debate stage. This would pretty much be the debate:

DeSantis also has military experience, is a family man, and he just helped his wife fight cancer. Sorry, that appeals to suburban moms and Gavin is called a used car salesman even by people on his own side.
And DeSantis kind of looks like Kennedy and would be the second youngest President ever going into office in 2025 behind JFK. So while Gavin’s looks have been kind to him and his career, it’s not that much of an advantage against DeSantis.
