Why would a Disney property enter a co-sponsoring agreement with a competing entity? (ABC/NBC)

Because MSNBC paid them to. Networks run ads on directly competing networks all the time, much less a news network running an ad on a sports network owned by a different entity.

Oh so now if you aren't a hardcore my way or the highway tea party neo libertarian you don't count as a conservative?

Ok, got it.

Actually, Last Man Standing was canceled specifically b/c of money. 20th Century Fox produced the first 6 seasons. Starting with the 7th, ABC was contractually bound to pick up all production costs if it was to keep airing. They decided the demo watching the show (it skewed older which advertisers don't want) wasn't worth the price tag. If Fox was still paying for the show to be made, ABC would still be airing it.

Understood on the demographics, but let's not pretend it was not bringing in money for ABC. Doing well on a Friday night is an abnormality.

Shows with good ratings regardless of the demos don't get cancelled often. Could just be different interpretations of the cancelling.

No-if you make a living setting up conservative straw men and knocking them down on your morning TV show, support the globalist/elitist/Establishment agenda or cried because Hillary Clinton lost the election, then you are not a conservative.

Pretty simple.

I wish fox would go ahead and throw a simple highlight show on one of their sports channels in the mornings and evenings. It would probably finish espn off.

Easily. It's not that hard of a formula. ESPN did it well for a number of years. They are now falling down on the job. Pick it up, Fox.

Actually, it's fairly common for an aging show to get canned if the demo skews too old and it's no longer a big hit. A show doing ok on Friday isn't a big deal if it's in the wrong demo b/c the the advertising money shrinks significantly.

ABC was making money on it when Fox was picking up the tab for production but they very well may have ended up breaking even at best once they had to start paying for everything. They weren't going to get any syndication money from the episodes they produced until they were able to pump out 88 more episodes (the number commonly needed for a syndication package).

They decided b/c of the cost it wasn't worth trying to keep alive for 4 more years. It had already been moved to Friday b/c of slipping ratings.

If this had been a show they had been producing themselves from teh get go or if Fox was still picking up the tab it would probably get at least one more year. But since it wasn't owned and ABC wasn't getting syndication money it was always going to be more likely to get canceled once the ratings slipped. That's how it goes for all shows that aren't owned by the network that is airing them. They always have to do a little bit better than a self produced show.

They did that already and nobody watched.

Fox Sports Live was basically a carbon copy of late 90s Sportscenter.

They might now. Can I have sports without the politics? ESPN says no. Then denies that they are political. Sad.
