Christians believe the old testament too. The only difference is Jesus.

That would be funny if it wasn’t so sad.

OK. I wish they'd stop selling our shite to China, but you're apparently good with it.

Not sure what you are referring to, but it’s a proven fact that a ton of our missile technology went to China while Billy Jeff and Hildebeast were taking millions upon millions from the Chinese during Bubba’s presidency. Member John Huang and Charlie Trie? I member.

I once believed this type of end of times prophecy. And I will say if its true, that is fine, if not, that is fine. However, what a lot modern day Christians do not understand is the time period in which Revelation was written and who was receiving the message and what they believed and knew. It was written during a period where if you were found carrying Christian lit. you would be put to death. The writer, therefore, wrote in a style which used a lot of symbolism and word play that the receivers knew, but the Romans did not. 666 for example always meant the Roman emperor, not satan. When you look at this book in the correct manner, it fits nicely into the bible and not a book a doom.

Israel has the right to defend themselves just like any sovereign nation recognized by the UN. While I'm unsure why, I'm always a little stunned by the folks who believe Israel begins these conflicts.

If Hamas wants to push Israel out, that's their right. However, folks can't expect Israel to simply fold up their tents and go walking into the desert.

It never ceases to amaze me the things otherwise intelligent, educated adults are capable of believing.

In ANY other context, any at all, the OP would be viewed as pure insanity. It would be absolutely indistinguishable from the most crazed, bizarre conspiratorial lunacy found in the darkest corners of the Internet. But slap the religion logo on it and we’re just all cool with it

Come on y'all. As ridiculous as this is, it's not even the worst conspiracy theory I've read on tiger droppings this week

Then why didn't it just say nuclear attack?

Do I have to state the obvious?
Since nuclear arms weren’t invented in the time of these writings, a person having a vision of a future event that he can’t describe would use terminology that he did understand.

One would think the most powerful being in existence would be able to clarify this for the purposes of his autobiography. One would think.

Again, why would God or the writer use a term unfamiliar to its audience? The Bible’s writings were circulated long before nuclear arms were invented. It would make no sense to use words they wouldn’t understand.

My point is God could have made them understand. Or he could have just explained it in the book. Maybe drawn them a picture.

He did draw them a picture, by using terminology they understood

It at least could have been more clear though. Those terms are pretty generic. Why didn't God show them a mushroom-shaped cloud, or something like that?
