You can't have good government without open government.

We need more Snowdens and we need to honor them.

Edward Snowden, the man at the heart of the NSA information leaks, is nothing but a “traitor” — and America ought to recreate history in dealing with him, real estate mogul Donald Trump said on a “Fox & Friends” interview.

In other words, execute him, Mr. Trump implied.
“I think Snowden is a terrible threat, I think he’s a terrible traitor, and you know what we used to do in the good old days when we were a strong country — you know what we used to do to traitors, right?” Trump said, Politico reported.

“Well, you killed them, Donald,” said fill-in host, Eric Bolling.

Mr. Trump’s response: Well, he is damaging America.
“This guy is really doing damage to this country, and he’s also making us look like dopes,” he said, Politico reported.

Agreed.

FISA is downright evil.

If we read what Snowden exposed in history books about some other country, that country would be talked about in the same breath with Stalin and Mao

To those quoting Trump from 2014.

If you didn't like Snowden in 2014, you might have an excuse , the last 2.5 years should have divested you of that feeling.

If Trump still thinks this about Snowden, he's wrong.

Do you -ever- add anything of value to -any- thread?

Nothing has happened since then that changes anything Snowden did.

He was a traitor then, and he's a traitor now. You don't need to agree with that.

Everything I've posted has been valuable. Your disagreement doesn't change that.

You asked a basic question and received a basic answer.

Good.

Because I don't.

What he exposed is that we have copious traitors IN our government.

Speaking of which. Ya know. If he's a traitor to what our government has become, that's probably a good thing.

Some governments SHOULD be outed. Ours is beyond overdue

Cool. I don't need you to.

That would be great if it were limited to that, or even if it were the majority of information released. It wasn't.

If a government becomes populated by traitors who commit acts that previously would have been considered anti American, is turning against those people being a traitor?

I think it's absurd to call the man who outed the traitors a traitor.

So you acknowledge that I'm correct. He outed traitors.

Thanks.

Let me get this straight. Snowden is good but the spy's who are leaking the Russian info are bad and WH leaks need to be "plugged".

Yeah cause Obama would have thrown him in a dark prison never to be seen again. Clinton would have just had him whacked. The dude gave up a free life to expose injustice.
