We got to choose between paying taxes to the DA and to pay taxes to the schools, right?
We chose schools. We being the voters who participated. Personally, I won one and lost one.

I am as anti-tax as it gets, and I don't endorse the tactic of putting these in off elections to sneak them in while no one is looking (any tax measures should be on major election ballots by law). My point was that it is ridiculous that while law enforcement starves, failing bureaucracies continue to feast..

Yea, you're a dumb idiot. No amount of money the DA office receives from taxes will ever fix the problems in Baton Rouge. I already pay enough taxes as is, so why would I willingly vote yes for another one.
If Baton Rouge is truly concerned about fighting crime, they can make cuts somewhere and move money around.
