Let's dive into what this race is, and the dynamics of a district attorney's campaign in general. So I don't really know what these dynamics are like in other cities but how much politicking does a DA really do? I guess it's akin to a judge who is running. You don't really see a DA or anyone in the judicial doing much stumping. Hillar Moore, I imagine is the favorite by some margin, who knows what that margin is if anyone wants to link or post it that'd be lagniappe.

Hillar has a D next to his name, I guess he's always had it? Going back to how much politicking a DA does-though Moore is a Democrat he doesn't seem to be outspoken about green new deal, or any of other lunacy the vast majority of Democrats push for.

He is the type of democrat we used to think were a problem but compared to modern dems, seems reasonable. He also knows that having a D next to his name in Baton Rouge means having a chance at election.

Gary Chambers posted some AI slop on his page tonight endorsing Hillar’s opponent.

That should about tell you what you need to know.

Hillar is liked by judges and defense attorneys alike, as he gets paid by defense attorneys, pays the judges, and everybody wins.

Hillar Moore is the definition of a public servant. He needs to be reelected. Great man.

Good point-

What is Ryan Thompson really about? I've never heard anything he's said, I haven't been catching Haldane on 107.3 in the mornings lately so IDK if I missed him there, but I'm sure he's been on local media at some point.
