Why are we not just doing this instead of the current goofiness we are doing in trying to pretend any of these people are "unbiased"?

Wouldn't this be equally "fair" for both sides?

That was proposed but house republicans voted it down because it would help the party.

It doesn't matter.

Kamala will only end up doing the 1 debate because she will have "held up" the Democratic Candidate's end of the bargain to participate in 2 Presidential debates (Biden did 1 and Kamala the other).

No news organization will hold her accountable for skipping out on any additional debates, either.

The claims will be that Trump lied so much in his debate with Kamala, that it is futile to have any additional debates to give Trump a platform.

Why not no moderators. Each candidate gets to ask the other candidate the questions.

Computer controls microphones. Camera is split screen of both candidates.

And in that one debate, she'll have all the questions fed to her in advance so she'll have plenty of time to prep.

Seriously, why not have Rachel Maddow and Tucker Carlson moderate the debate, with Maddow being an attack dog against Trump and Tucker being an attack dog against Kamala? Might as well do it.

Seriously, these should be the debates:

Debate One: Joe Rogan (with questions submitted by Ben Shapiro, Tim Pool, Jimmy Dore, Kyle Kulinski, David Pakman, Dave Smith, Bret and Eric Weinstein, Glenn Greenwald, Lex Fridman, Megyn Kelly, Michael Malice, and Russell Brand and then Joe just takes the best of them)

Debate Two: Rachel Maddow and Tucker Carlson

Debate Three: Krystal Ball and Saagar Enjeti

That should be the questioners right there, and the biased two debate moderators in the later two debates are just openly attack dogs on the opposition of their political ideology.

Also have the clips and documents ready to go if either Kamala or Trump lie and say “I never said that.” It’s going to work out much worse for Kamala because Trump’s lies tend to have to do with hyperbole than outright lying.

And each debate should be three hours. No way Kamala could last.

You know why…

So what if she doesn’t show? Trump gets 90 minutes on Fox and NBC to make his case to the American people.
