Take the time to read this well said and well thought out post by one of our leftist countrymen.
The OP op makes a very good point in this next paragraph.
This is the type of post that you read on a message board that really makes you stop and contemplate the point that the author is trying to convey.
I don't know about you guys but this Democratic Underground thread has really made me come to realize the faults and shortcomings of our current president.

I have to disagree, if ever so slightly, with the OP. I do not wish for Trump to stroke out and die; I want him to live but be in the same state as Longshanks in Braveheart when he couldn't talk and was bedridden.

Their hatred repudiates any rational opposing view that the left might hold and otherwise offer. At the end of the day it all comes down to baseless hatred of a man who holds far more similar views to the basic progressive agenda than most on the right. But they have allowed their hate to infect their souls to the extent of everlasting sickness. And can never be trusted to govern from any position other than vindictiveness.
