These are Saudi backed militias, they would have access to any chemical weapons they need. Also throughout the civil war the rebels have controlled vast areas of Syria including military facilities. They had the ability to gain control of any material that ever existed in the Syria. You need to open your eyes and not be spoon fed what to think all the time.

What does Assad taking pictures with Christians have to do with anything? Is it better than John McCain taking photos in Syria with our Al Qaeda rebels or future ISIS leadership? The rebels we support cut off Christian heads and would never let them exist in a Syria they control.

What happens next if Russia responds to an attack on areas where Russian military personnel are located by sinking one of our destroyers? I suspect John McCain and Lindsey Graham are wet thinking about it.

They did the same thing last year. Hours after that chem attack.. all of our msm just "knew" it was the Assad regime..and that we should attack them.

The words of Gerasimov are even more dire, since he explains how the United States and its allies are preparing the ground to justify an attack on Syria. According to reports, terrorists stationed in Al-Tanf (an illegal US military base in Syria) received 20 tons of chlorine gas and detonators, disguised as cigarette packs, in order to attack in an area under the control of the terrorists that is densely inhabited by civilians.

This is the best map I could find that shows the battle for East Ghouta. Since February 24th Syria and Russia have taken everything but the Douma area in the north. That includes the two other areas on this map still in green. They began their assault on Douma two days ago after the Saudi backed militia refused to reconcile with the government or be transported to Idlib like the other rebels. In past two days the government forces were taking vast territory in Douma and then inexplicably decides to drop chemical weapons for no reason? This supposedly happens right when victory is within reach just so they can allow the west an excuse to intervene. You smart people make up your own minds if any of this makes sense.

Seriously.

Gas attack now while Syria has the upper hand?

Gas and WOMD have a special ring to the in the international press. Same for ethnic cleaning.

Can the US investigate this before they start shooting?

So the rebels, or CIA, broke into a Syrian Govt armory and took nerve agents made in Syrian labs then delivered them on Syrian civilians using Syrian delivery devices? Thats how it happened?

Nerve agents are like fingerprints, once a valid sample is obtained we have the capability to tell where it came from, the lab, all the way down to the batch and lot. So if nerve agents from another country were used we would know.

We also have the capability to know exactly what delivery system was used, air or artillery doesn’t matter. All the nerve agents used in Syria are of Syrian manufacture.

All the the Syrian gassing of civilians has been carried out by the Assad govt.

Iraq maintained the know how to produce chemical weapons, and could have restarted a program, if they wanted to, but they did not produce chemical weapons after the Gulf War.

There were some buried stocks we discovered, but those dated to the gulf war and had seriously degraded. Nothing they produced during that period would be viable.

There’s no plausible motive here, unless you’re a rebel, trying to prevent the surrender of East Ghouta.
