There is an overlap with the new version of "human trafficking", because runaways a re typically unable to work legal jobs and have to turn to the back market. That leads to sex work ( a pattern since Sumer, basically).
20 years ago we call that runaways engaging in prostitution. Today it's human/sex trafficking, because they changed what that term meant about 10 years ago.
If you want a good exercise to see this in action, go look for reviews contemporaneous to the theatrical release of Taxi Driver and compare the use of prostitute/prostitution vs. "Sex trafficking"

Yes basically the same issue. Expand what a term means and the examples in society expand in kind. It doesn't mean society is causing the traditional version of the term to increase.
But all of this is somewhat irrelevant to the Daily Mail lying.

My IQ is over 130 brother. Had to take a psychologist-administered IQ test to get into Gifted. And within that population I was considered one of the smartest, but we will just use the IQ cutoff for Gifted.
It's the dumb people who can't comprehend high intelligence who have the cognitive issues in this paradigm. They can't understand how dumb/wrong they are because they simply lack the intellectual ability.

I missed the frank lying. I see them doing what they often do - convert bureaucratic/nuanced info into suspicion-fuel that gets re-shared on the secondary info markets because it feels confirmatory of darker narratives without having to explicitly claim them.
