This. African Americans makeup by FAR the largest amount of the democrat vote in Alabama. A stance like that on abortion will turn many of them off.

Many of those African American voters are very religious.

Where's the proof? How would you like it if someone came out of the woodwork and accused you of something like this with no proof, would you want people to believe them or you?

quote:

America is in moral crises and this is a yardstick to prove it if Moore win.

How about the moral crisis of congress having a secret slush hush fund all these year. What does that say?

I think Moore wins, but it is a disgrace to Alabama, the woman Governor, and Trump who have all morally gone on record indicating that a criminal child molester and well known mall stalker is a better option than a decent, albeit moderate Democrat, for 2 years in the Senate. America is in moral crises and this is a yardstick to prove it if Moore win.

Who are you referring to here? None of those claims attach to Moore. Have you been paying attention?

it seems making elections a moral barometer or moral crisis is the new dem strategy...and you wonder why they're at their lowest numbers in almost 100 years.

link me where he says that.
I realize you cant, but please keep perpetuating the fake news you supposedly hate so much.

Jones has a real chance to win this election. Keep telling yourself he’ll lose by double digits.

No he's not. That is Rapin' Roy fake news! Jones has never once said he supports full term abortion. In fact, I've never heard that phrase used by anyone until rapin' Roy said it.

Now, tell me if rapin' Roy will uphold the Constitution even when it allows things that go against his religious beliefs? Has he always done so while in office in the past?

Good question. The public polling's showing a dead heat though Moore's people called the polls fake yesterday. In any case it's probably hard to model turnout in a special election like this.

This is the third time I've read this accusation today on this board.

Is this new? Can someone link me to the rape allegations?

Thanks!

I can't LINK on my cellphone, but If you goggle: "Doug Jones until the day of birth" it will take you to the article.

In this article, Jones says he supports a child's right to life once the child is born.

But there’s one potentially crippling problem for Jones: his extreme position on abortion. In a recent interview, NBC’s Chuck Todd asked Jones, “[W]hat are the limitations that you believe should be in the law when it comes to abortion?” Jones responded that he is a “firm believer that a woman should have the freedom to choose what happens to her body,” and affirmed his support for contraception and for a woman’s right to “the abortion that they might need.” When Todd then asked if that meant he would not support a ban on abortion after 20 weeks, Jones replied that he was “not in favor of anything that would infringe on a woman’s right to choose.” He continued, oddly, by assuring voters that “I want to make sure that people understand that once a baby is born, I’m gonna be there for that child. That’s where I become a right-to-lifer.” Jones has also indicated he supports federal funding for abortion, a position that would overturn 40 years of bipartisan policy on the matter.

Attempt-rapin' Roy Moore is more like it. It comes from this allegation that he locked the car door and attempted to force fellatio:

quote:

Instead of taking her home, Nelson said Moore pulled his car behind the restaurant and began to attack her. "Mr. Moore reached over and began groping me and putting his hands on my breasts," Nelson said.

She said she tried to open the car door to leave, but Moore locked it and continued to grab her.

"He began squeezing my neck, attempting to force my head onto his crotch. I continued to struggle," Nelson said. "I thought that he was going to rape me."

ETA: alleged victim was 16 at the time, Moore was 32.

Roy's pastor buddy has a perfectly logical explanation for all this:

quote:

A prominent right-wing preacher who appeared alongside Senate candidate Roy Moore at a campaign rally just days ago said that Moore dated teen girls because of their “purity” and because when he got back from Vietnam there weren’t any women his age left to date.

Moore needs to absolutely slam Jones for being one of the scumbag lawyers UAB used for accepting the same thing Moore is accused of. I was not going to vote for a Moore, but this story (which I remember well and just found out Jones was a part of) was one of the most sickening things I’ve ever read. I will never, ever vote for Jones now.

When will Moore's camp start the commercials about how Jones tried to sweep under the rug about a 15 year old girl being used as a sex toy by the UAB football team?

Ouch. That would leave a mark.

But the thing that will get most Alabamians out to vote is the fact that Jones approves of murdering babies. Even up to late term.

frick Doug Jones.

I looked at this breitbart article. LINK

So again, where does he say he wants to revise abortion law as it is, to allow a woman to terminate a pregnancy at 37 weeks? or 32 weeks? or at 25 weeks?

his quote, "people understand that once a baby is born, I’m going to be there for that child. That’s where I become a right to lifer," speaks more to his commitment to social welfare programs than it does to your perceived bloodlust he has for unborn children.

Did you feel this way between 1992-2000? Trump supporting Moore, , how soon you forget that Trump supported Strange. I haven't heard Trump say he supports Moore, just that Trump doesn't want a liberal Democrat filling the seat. Does the Democratic party have a conservative wing? Maybe if they did then Trump would be in favor of him/her instead of the liberal representing the party in this election.

No, it is trying to draw attention away from the fact that he believes a woman should be able to abort a pregnancy up until the moment of birth and that the federal government should pay for it.
