Isn’t it a naval expression? I never worked boats.

Nope. Restaurant and bar slang.

The Dem nomination is set up with super delegates to make sure they have control of their candidate pick to ignore the vote of the people if they so choose

Hence the hypocrisy of "election integrity."

have maintained that the DEMs are doing this just to keep the/some/any issue for the MSM to emasculate/masterbate about until the mid-terms are done - then they will drop it.

I understand. But as per my previous post, there is about zero chance they get to discovery before the midterms.

I’ll repost the technical reasons under federal rules/jurisprudence if you want.

Well, as part of my continuing effort to be informed, I’ll have to spend more time in bars.

Its analogous to getting mad that a WWE ref is partial and caused your guy to lose the championship match.

So the DNC holds itself out to be a non-democratic institution and advertises its oligartarian nature?

Because the WWE wholly admits that its events are staged.

nope - thanks anyway - I was just wondering about how this might work. I am unfamiliar with any legal terminology - All I got is a layman's view of what is right and wrong - the legal system lets me down a lot

So - regardless, there won't be any 'discovery' before the mid-terms?? Then that makes it even more a joke.

I doubt it very seriously.

Isn't there a number that indicates you are at the end of some article sent to the press???

Haven’t seen that.

Looks like the naval term is AT-6, pronounced “eighty six.”

Right, I agree with the hypocrisy comments, I am just saying Bernie was not "cheated". That is just how the DNC as a private organization operates openly and you could expect similar behavior privately.

Looks like you all let me down - I hate having to do the work myself:

quote:

An alternative way of formatting the end of a press release, depending on your J-school professor, is to use “-30-.“
While for PR pros using ###, -30-, or sometimes even –END-, is habit, many of us don’t know why or where it originated. There are several theories––from the Civil War era when Western Union 92 Code of telegraphic shorthand was used to signify the end of a transmission to a time when stories were written in longhand and X marked the end of a sentence, XX the end of a paragraph, and XXX the end of a story (XXX=30 in Roman numerals). You may have missed them, but pop culture has also seen references to “-30.” The finale of the TV series The Wire, which concerned the media, was called “-30-“; an episode of Law & Order about a poisoned reporter was also titled “30,” Bugs Bunny even utters, “That’s -30- for today” in a cartoon.

Whichever symbol you decide to use, don’t forget that it comes out of tradition and respect, and simply means…”The end.”
