It's an interesting quandary that those few question mark Republicans are in right now. On the one hand, what would they potentially risk by stepping over the aisle to vote with Dems on the witness issue.....versus.....what the hell would even be the reward because we all know there aint anything new gonna come out that sheds light on the Trump intent issue.
Rand Paul gave an interesting analysis for them, basically saying “Vote against allowing ANY witnesses, because otherwise you might have to vote against or for allowing individual witnesses that might annoy your constituents and get you fired.”

I think he gets it wrong, because Trump will not be removed in the end and because voters are idiots with a short attention span. So long as Trump wins (which he will), they are not likely to fire their longtime Senator, who will just argue “I went out of my way to be fair. I even voted to allow some testimony I did not expect to like.”

I think you're ultimately right about that, lest there be some particularly sticky situation between one of them and their constituency, perhaps being in especially hot water. But I'm guessing they're all in about the same boat.

Now, one factor the factor that could weigh even heavier than the back home factor is the potential response by fellow Repubs in the Senate. And what potential penalty McConnell could inflict, either subtlety or otherwise. I know they're all about their civility and restraint and yadda yadda in the Senate.

I do think ultimately no Republican will support witnesses, with the possible exception of Collins. Like we've said, should something new and credible arise, likely different deal then.

What US law did Baby Biden violate?

I would start with the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act

And then go from there

Someone suggested this above. When asked “What provision?,” the poster ghosted.

So, what provision of the FCPA?

You can look up the provision, I don't care enough to because I'm not an expert on it. However, it was created for this exact scenario, so I'm sure you won't have trouble finding it.
