That's the problem with the 737 Max 8/9. Instead of designing a new platform, Boeing stuck with its flawed corporate philosophy, by taking a 60 year old fuselage design, installing engines that made the aircraft aerodynamically unstable, and then relied on flawed computer architecture to fix its design errors.
